Adjust bar length in dashboard according to currency rates
I currently have both Dollars and Korean Wons in my Dashboard. Sadly, the bars of the dollar amounts are tiny, since they are overwhelmed by the 20,000 Wons. Interestingly enough, 20,000 Wons are just $20. You should do currency conversion and adjust the sizes accordingly.
7 votesSorry about this! We know the dashboard bar graph isn’t that great if you use multiple currencies – improving that is on our to-do list, but not very high priority, since very few of our users use multiple currencies. Still, we hope to update it at some point!

Amount bars of friends on Dashboard
I think this is a simple hack, Friends are shown according to amount what they owe or I owe. Due to which if someone owes nothing or comparably very less amount then you have to abbreviate the name and on hover only you can know the details about amount and friends name.
Instead of this the bar which represents amount owed can be a box with light grey color which fills up according to amount owed. thus Friend's name and amount can be overlay-ed in same manner and always be visible. This way existing UI would be intact yet more…
1 voteI like this suggestion :) We’ve been meaning to redesign the dashboard bars a bit – they could use some improvement, and this could be a good approach for how to do that.

update pdf summaries of the months
the pdf summaries don't include rollover payments from previous months (if my roommates still owe me money last month it won't show effectively when looking at the pdf this month). also it says i owe my roommate when she actually paid me back for things she owes me for. the site is great, but if i ever needed to print out the pdf it would be all wrong.
3 votesThe PDF summary is a bit out of date and could probably use some improvements – I’ll pass on your suggestions.

Allow importing expenses from a Settle Up App
Currently I am using Settle Up and would like to import my expenses in your application

Feature reques: Move personal balance to group
In the knowledge base article "Why am I settled up in my friendship but still have balances with my friend in groups?", I learned that I can move the balance with A in group G to personal balance with A. However, I need to do the other way around: move the personal balance with A to group G. The story is like this: I owe $1 from A, B, C, D personally and separately, however, they are all in group G, so I would rather to move them to G so that I owe the group $4. Further, if there…
17 votesDefinitely makes sense! We’re working on better ways of settling up across both personal debts and group debts, because we know it’s a pain in the neck right now :) We hope to have new features to help with that soon!

To add option to see yearly Expenses
I can see the expenses for individual months. If i want to see combined expenses for multiple months and yearly then there should be a option to see that expenses
1 voteRight now we do pretty much everything by month, but I can see how this would be useful. I’ll pass on the suggestion.

email batching
just made a bunch of changes to things, someone got 18 emails :/
2 votesSorry about that! This is a good suggestion – I’ll bring it up at our next team meeting.

Add print option
Wanted to be able to print Trip split calculator to pass out to group of people before the trip. I can print it via web but looks better if it have print option for registered user to print it in print format.
6 votesI’m not sure we’ve thought about print-specific versions of our calculators before – I’ll pass on the suggestion at our next meeting. Thanks!

Textbox for Quantity
Next to the $ text box add a text box for Quantity which will help reduce the amount of time the user when entering itemized bills
5 votesThanks for the suggestion! We’re considering some updates to the itemized bill form – I’ll pass on this idea.

Not include payments in the expense summary
In the "charts" section, payments get included under "your share". I understand that you want to do the "you paid - your share = you are owed", but the result is that it's harder for me to see exactly how much my share of the trip actually was.
26 votesAnother good idea George! In fairness, it’s not actually included in the pie chart, just the table of expenses, but I hear what you are saying. If you want to see the trip as what you actually “spent” independent of the payments moving money around, it would be the sum of the “Your share” column minus the payments.
We’ll definitely discuss this issue more as we revisit the charts / why I owe what I owe interface. Thanks again!

Itemize each persons 'debts'
I wish I could click on the persons name on the left hand of the screen, see how much I owe them, and break it down exactly by what I owe and why.
1 voteWe try to do this already – when you click a person’s name on the left, it should bring up a screen that tells you their total balance with you, and lists all of the transactions you have with that person (and how much you owe/are owed for each).
Unfortunately, it’s hard to break this down further for groups that use debt simplification…but we’re working on it! We have some ideas, and hopefully you’ll see some updates in the next few months.

Showing "owed" amounts one by one
When you click settle up, it shows the total amount between 2 friends. Add a link to see the owed items individually.
2 votesI agree that this would be useful. It’s on our list of possible features, but we haven’t gotten around to it yet – sorry for the delay!

add the ability to link to bank accounts
we did this with paydivvy. its the one thing that separated them from everyone else. now that paydivvy is being acquired we need a new service. hopefully connecting bank accounts is part of your plan already! makes it a lot easier to just press "pay" rather than cutting a check each time
32 votesWe’d definitely like to do this! It’s unlikely to happen any time in the next few months (it takes a lot of work to properly and securely integrate with banks), but hopefully it’s something we can consider in the future.

Keep debts on PDF summary until paid
I love splitwise. One thing I have a problem with though is remembering old debts. I have a couple things people owe me for that are beyond a month old so there for they no longer show up on the summary. The amounts of those items do carry over at the bottom but that is no good if we can't remember what the debt was for (i.e I paid someone's share of the Christmas decorating expense) having a name attached to older debts is really helpful so everyone can remember
2 votesWe’d like to overhaul the PDF summary at some point – when we do, we’ll definitely take this into consideration.

Managing recurring expenses
Our monthly electricity bill went up by a couple of euros, so I needed to change the recurring expense that I had setup for this. Although this is possible the process is a bit confusing. I'd suggest providing an overview of scheduled recurring expenses, separate from the list of expenses that have already been created as a result from these schedules, which is what I was looking for because I didn't really want to touch any previous expenses.
356 votesWe agree that managing recurring bills could be better. Currently, the way to edit recurring bills is to change the most recent copy and that will change ones that follow. It will not affect the past expenses.
We’re considering how to improve this, and will leave this under review for now. -

We do plan to integrate more payment methods beyond paypal, but will be doing it based on how many votes it gets on the forum here.

Sending a reminder to the entire group makes sense, and we’re planning on adding push notifications at some point (though probably not text message notifications). Thanks for the suggestions!

Data Display
I wish there was a way to see all the charges for one person over the past year that they have had to pay. Like, if one roommate gave me $50, then I could see $50, and then the successive bills added, which would take away from the $50. So I could see the build up and succession of payments and bills. I remember at some point, I could see a line graph of what one person owed so see how each bill affected how much they owed at a certain time. I can't seem to do that in the…
2 votesWe’ve talked about a feature like this – just haven’t gotten around to it yet! Thanks for the suggestion :)
