The Shared Orders beta is great, but it would be great to have a recurring shared order as many people have a weekly grocery run.3 votes
We’re glad you like the feature! Thanks for the suggestion, I can see how that would be a helpful improvement. I’ll leave this open for further review for now.
I'd love if the word "deli" could be automatically recognized as the "dining out" category1 vote
Thanks for the suggestion! That makes sense, sorry for any inconvenience. I’ll pass a note along to the team and leave this open for now.

I think it would be much easier if the date field in an expense allowed you to type the date, in a format such as MM/DD (defaulting to current year) or even MM/DD/YYYY, instead of requiring the use of the date picker. Having to use my mouse and click in the date picker slows me down when adding a lot of expenses.5 votes

I feel a trash icon for deleting an expense, rather than the cross (X).
When we click on an expense, theres an expansion of the expense's details right.
And when we want to close the expense expansion, intuitively it feels like the cross (X) icon closes the expansion.3 votes
Thanks for the suggestion and feedback! I’m sorry for any confusion.

Kindly stop sending me an email every time I sign in, to tell me I've just signed in. There is no option to avoid this annoyance.11 votes
Thanks for your suggestion!
We send these emails for your security and you should only get them when signing in to your account. If you stay logged in and visit your account from the same device/browser you won’t get an email for every visit.
These emails are a relatively new feature and we appreciate the feedback. I’ll leave this open for now.
Integrate with Personal Capital budgeting app to allow importing items into splitwise from there73 votes

At first, appreciate the pie chart that displays the expense slit for every month. But the split is based on the total amount spent and not the amount that I owe. For example, if my friend has added a bill for shopping where I owe only a little amount, then in the pie chart I would like my share to be shown and not the entire amount.1 vote
Makes sense! I’ll leave this open for further voting for now.
It would be really great to have a web connect feature with Splitwise to Quicken. Since half of my transactions are complete by my significant other, we each only see a portion of our actual expenses in our respective transaction history via our banks. This actually makes it kind of difficult to get a clear picture of what we are spending our money on.47 votes

i'm on the search page right now and i'd like to create expenses directly from here since i'm using the results on the search page to see what expenses i haven't added yet from this particular vendor. i can't do that without going into a new tab or going back to search!1 vote

Please add Chinese language support. I understand that splitwise is not an open source software, but I don't think it's a problem that you can put language files to platforms like transifex, so that volunteers can do the translation for multiple languages.23 votes
I’m sorry that we don’t support Chinese yet!
Preparing for character based languages is a big task and we’re a small team so it’s not something we can promise soon. However, it is something we’d love to add at some point!
Would it be possible to add an icon/option for Security under Home? In our house, we all split the monthly cost of Security Monitoring. This just seems like a useful categorization as others who use Simplisafe or a DIY security system with monitoring. This is just the OCD side of me wanting more icons! Anyway, love the app. Very helpful!!3 votes
Thanks for the suggestion! We’ll consider this the next time we discuss new categories to add.
This is pretty silly and probably more complex than it seems but it would be awesome if you added kittens to the web app somewhere. Unless you have and I've missed them...6 votes
Thanks for the suggestion! :)
I add comments on transactions before I delete them, noting why they were deleted.
I can see the details of deleted transactions on Splitwise Mobile App, but I cannot see them on the web app.
Please allow us to see all details. :)6 votes

In Android app there is a 'Group spending summary' screen where I can select 'All time' mode and see how much did the trip cost to me.
In the WEB app this screen shows data only for one month at a time that is inconvenient if trip didn't fit in a single month. Please, add 'All time' mode to WEB app.3 votes
Thanks for the feedback! I don’t expect we’ll be revisiting the trends view on the web app soon, but this does seem like a useful improvement.
Please add the itemized split feature to iOS.9 votes
Sometime I want to see what all expenses I have already added so that I can add only the remaining one.
Can there be an option to track just "my activity" for last 30-60 days.13 votes
Thanks for the interesting suggestion! I can see how this would be helpful, I’ll pass along the idea!
It would be great if I could enter in Itemized Bill how many items did I buy and from there, the web app would multiply this amount by price for 1 piece to get the total price.
Lets say I bought 4 boxes of milk for $10 each.
Right now I would enter it like this:
4 Milks, $40
What I'd rather do is this:
Milk, 4 boxes, $10 each, total $40
This gives me better understanding of how many boxes did we bought and what was the price for 1 box.10 votes
Thanks for your suggestion! We’re not currently planning any significant changes to the itemized bill form, but I see how this would be a useful addition. I’ll leave this open for further voting and pass along the suggestion.
