I suggest you ...

Save unequal split settings

I always pay 2/3 and roommate pays 1/3 (i sublet one of the rooms, but think couples). % split is great but would be nice not to have to type 66.67 and 33.33 every time.

is it really so difficult to reuse the split settings that were used with the last transaction?

So glad so many people are asking for this feature! Obviously the most popular and important improvement that can be made to this already indispensable app. Please add this feature!

This has been under review for more than two years now. Any news? I find it absolutely vital and need the functionality dearly. I wouldn't hesitate to sign up to pro, especially at the very fair price point it is right now. But right now I am rather looking into competitors, which is a pity.

I have the same problem but I suggest it should be in percentage form.
For instance we are 2 guys and I spent 1766 ₹ , in which my portion is 60 % and other ones 40 %.
It will be more easier and accurate to split in percentage.
Its difficult to split it in 1/4, 1/3 or in ratios like 1:2:1.
        Thats what I believe.
Thanks waiting for your revert. 😊

I'd be nice to be able to set a default on percentage payments. My wife and have different incomes, mine is higher, therefore I pay a higher portion of the house expenses. If we could just have the app split the expenses automatically in those proportions, using the app would be much easier and faster.

For example, in my house we divide the accounts by the ratio of wages. I would like to state that the default currency of the group is BRL without having to change whenever you post a new expense. And also set as default the value of the proportion for each user of the group.
I'm migrating from SettleUp and there it works, however dividing by proportion that it gives a different value here. There are two users with a ratio of 1 and 1.8

Hello, we like using your application. a good improvement for the next update will be to provide a way to adjust the split of all expense by a different pourcentage than 50/50. In our couple, we share all expense 40/60 so right now we have to adjust split individually for each expense witch take more time.

It would be so nice to split according to income. Either over percent or over income but so that I do not have to enter it every time. It should be saved in the profile.

Requested 5 years ago and no improvement even it's clearly not a hard feature to implement and it would ease life for many users. Is 1000 votes still not enough ?
        Beta implementation:
Group-->Settings --> setup default value for each split option(%,shares..) for each member.
When adding an expense for the group --> retrieve the split settings if they exist and apply to the expense by default.

        Looking for developer ? ;)

In SPLITWISE there are words split and wise, please add the wise characteristic to your app that I appreciate a lot but won't be able to use if this feature is not implemented urgently.

This is really a required feature. We have a breakfast group at work, but some people do not attend every day, so they should pay less. We changed from splitwise to settle up because of this feature and all the apple users payed for the settle up app. However settle up is not able to sync the default weights properly, so it is not a good alternative either.

        Please add this feature

Like if I want to split 60% and 40% and set this value as default for selected group. It should take that preference.

I have a similar issue. My wife and I split the house bills based on our incomes. So we both pay a specific percentage of our bills. Would be awesome if we could just store and reuse this percentage every time instead of having to remember a number like, for example, 68.29%

        Thanks

        Use case:
Me and my girlfriend decided to split our bills not equally - lets say I pay 2/3 and she 1/3
Would be nice to configure default split ratio for group, cause by default it is every one has 50% shares in payment.

I the case of our shared apartment, the calculation of the unequal shares happens in the end of the month. Everybody enters the food shopping expenses during the month, and on the end of the month we sum each person's contributions and we calculate the shares based on how many days of this month each person was in the apartment.

This could be easily done with the current interface, if it offered changing properties of many bills at the same time. During the month everybody enters their expenses without caring about the shares. In the end of the month, I could then select all the bills of the this month and specify for all of them the "shares" per person, equal to the number of days people were actually there. This would recalculate all bills' splitting in the actual way we want it, and then we could proceed with the payouts.
