Save unequal split settings
I always pay 2/3 and roommate pays 1/3 (i sublet one of the rooms, but think couples). % split is great but would be nice not to have to type 66.67 and 33.33 every time.
So sorry for the trouble! This is on our list of possible improvements for the future – I can’t say exactly when it’ll be added, but we know it’d be a useful improvement. In the meantime, our apologies for the inconvenience!

I would definitely like to have this feature, as I normally pay also for my partner during holidays and trips. It's quite annoying forcing all the group members to put 2 shares on me and 1 on them every time.
My partner and I make different salaries, so we split the bills accordingly. It would really simplify things to have this option instead of entering it for every entry. I will probably start looking for another app that would have this function as I've only been using this for 4 months and am sick of manually entering the split%
Per group split option (sharing ratio among group members based on percentage etc) to be applied to all the bills in the group automatically. Example lets say a group of 5 friends take a trip to new york and hence create a group called "new york trip" in splitwise , now every bill that they add, they need to define the split option individually, instead they could define the split option and that can be applied to every bill that they add in the group automatically.

+1 need to be able to save in group setting. I can use this when we take trips with families. When 20 plus people goes its hard to remember the "shares" of each family.
This feature is a must have!
Any updates on this?
and, same feature request as @Emiliano Parizzi. saving custom % split for specific categories in a group. I also eat more than my girlfriend :)
we split amount based on share. by month end it is really difficult to change/add a new share as all have to change from 1. please have this feature asap
I'd love to have this function!!!
Any update on this?

Hey, is this done?
We are 5 people staying in apartment. But we always divided expenses within 4 people. I would be great if you allow two people to have common account in a group as they both together are an entity meaning two people actually pay as a person in group. So please find some solution for this

Just moved in with 3 people and it is kind of a pain to type in 4 percentages every time we need to split something for the house

Yes please! We share an apparment with my girlfriend and we usually split everything 50/50 except for food/groceries because she eats a little and I eat a lot so it makes sense to split it in a 30/70.
I would like a way to save the split percentage for that particular category in that group.
Or you know, any other way to save the split percentage.
+1 from me too. A must have feature.

+1 for me too, especially if you would be able to set this on a group level. We travel with friends and kids and have different weights depending on the age of the kids, would be very helpful if we could do this on a group level.

It would be great if you just implement split by shares to be saved.

+1 or really +4 (or +3, weighted 50%, 25%, and 25%, since that's what I'd like). My girlfriend and I live with two other roommates. We don't bother trying to split expenses any sort of way, especially since at any given time one of us may be jobless or in school.
What this means right now is my girlfriend owes tons of money and tons of money is owed to me. Every once in a while we go through the annoying process of doubly settling up, but that's not really a functional way for a program to work. We don't want to reenter each item as an uneven split constantly, since that's asking for things to get all screwed up (more user input = more user error).
Splitwise can already save all sorts of settings; this one doesn't seem like that much of a stretch.
PS This only needs to be for groups. It'll actually make groups useful, instead of just a marginally more convenient way to enter names.

We would need to split bills unequally by default too. Or at least if the application would remember the previous split so I wouldn't have to explicitly write it every time...
share-a-bill does this, by the way, on iphone...
I also split my expenses unequally. We're three friends who share and by default I pay a larger chunk than the rest which is how we've set it up (different incomes, socially minded, whatever).
