Bank account details somewhere/anywhere
Hi. Liking this service so far.
Its nice keeping track of debts, however, it is not much use not knowing how to pay it. (Not everyone uses paypal).
In UK and Australia, someone just needs bank account details to do a transfer. Would be nice either to have one or all of the following:
My own account details available for my friends to see. Even if not in their own fields, maybe in a "other info" memo type field.
Or be able to put my own comments on my friends so I can make a note of their account details. (or if I think they arent good at paying back)
When the expense is added... to explicitly send a custom email out to the involved people with my bank account details
I understand that it can be hard trying to look at expenses from different granularities, ie "how much in total do I owe this person" vs "how much is owed for this expense" vs "how much for this group for this person"
Keep up the good work!
Storing bank account #s is unfortunately tricky, as there are some serious security concerns around bank #s here in the US and in some other countries. Still, we’d like to do it if possible. It’s not on our roadmap yet, but we’re definitely considering it for the future.
To be able to click settle up and money directly transfer from bank account rather than performing tasks separately
In Europe many people pay each other using direct bank transfers and I would like a place to add my bank account info for others to pay me.
This additional info could be used to upload images like QR code’s or just add the bank account info.
This could also be used for crypto currencies.

I’m currently using the name field to share my payment details. I would like a free form text field for this or any other detail that the user would like to share. It could be WhatsApp like status field too.

Like some comments below
1) optional shared free text field (with suggestion: “eg Bank account, Venmo in US, PayPal, TWINT in Switzerland)
2) can have the info ONLY BE SHARED to relevant members when they owe another member an amount, to reduce security concerns. (Your competitor Tricount does this)

instead of having bank account no section, have a section to enter notes.bthe individual can enter any detail about him like bank acc no, preferred payment method etc. so security will not be a concern here.

Hi, great app! Just a suggestion,
How do I connect Splitwise to my bank account? NO...
And I unsderstand we don't use money here but what about a simple "temporal solution" like adding a bank account text input in "my account"?
Not having this here makes everyone in the groups send message via other app.
