   Thanks for the suggestion – I can see how that would be useful! Our travel calculator (http://splitwise.com/calculators/travel) does something like this, so it is a problem we’ve thought about before, though not exactly in this way. I’ll pass on your idea and add it to our list of possible future updates.

   I have regular short term renters mixed with long terms that are sometime away for months.
   If I could tell the system when each person was in the house, what period do the bills cover, and let it work its magic it would be invaluable for me.

   I wouldn't mind actually paying for this function, as part of a premium package.
