Thanks for the detailed feedback – it’s always useful to hear, and I’ll pass it on :)

One small feature you may not be aware of: on our website, Splitwise does allow you to add group members without email addresses, which hopefully helps for the “large party” scenario. My apologies that the same feature isn’t available on our mobile apps!

So sometimes I lend money to people who don't have splitwise and would like to record it here but can't because I don't have the right contact details (I.e. Email) to enter it into splitwise. This means I have to find somewhere else to record that I lent money for something when I would prefer to put it in splitwise. Can we please make it so I don't have to enter an email to create a person? This would also be pertinent to those who aren't tech savvy and not using technology so much. Perhaps an option to invite them and then an option to just create a local version would be great (which you could then invite them down the track if they like the idea).

    Cheers!

    Marissa

Thanks for the suggestion! You might want to check out our travel calculator (https://secure.splitwise.com/calculators/travel) – it only goes up to 14 days, unfortunately, but it’s designed to handle cases where some people are only around for some parts of the month. You could use it as a rough guidelines for your bills (for example, if the new housemate was only around for 1/5th of the month, treat it like a 5-day vacation where he/she was only present for 1 day). Hope that helps!
