Hey Damien! I believe that we already send all of our emails as multipart emails – that means they contain both an HTML version and a plain text version of the email, which allows your email program to choose which version it wants to display. I’ll pass on a suggestion about adding a user setting to ONLY receive plain text emails, as well.
Thanks for the suggestion! We’ve talked about this a few times, so you’re definitely not the only person to suggest it :) This feature hasn’t actually been added to our roadmap yet, but it’s on our list of possible improvements for the future.
There are some Windows 10 universal apps written by third party developers that work with Splitwise. Here are two we’re aware of:
We can’t endorse these apps specifically, but you may find them useful.
We just added a very basic calculator function to our web app, so you can now use basic mathematical operations when entering a cost (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). We hope to add similar features to our mobile apps at some point in the future!
Thanks for suggesting Tez as a payment method! We’ll leave this under review for further voting.
We’ve been looking at handling identity in some more flexible ways.
Thanks for the suggestion! I don’t think we’re likely to add SMS notifications in the near future, but I can see how they’d be useful for certain groups of people. I’ll mention this at our next planning meeting.
Thanks for the suggestion. Makes sense, sorry it’s not there already. I’m going to leave it open for further voting.
Thanks for writing in with your suggestion! We’ll leave under review for further voting.
I think this is a great idea! It’s not on the roadmap yet due to lots of other priorities voted higher, but one we’ve discussed and agreed totally makes sense. Thanks for submitting.
Updating this because it’s been a while! We still haven’t added this to our roadmap.
As we mentioned we’ve found in testing that this behavior ends up confusing people, which is why we’ve chosen not to add it so far.
We’ll continue to leave this under review for further voting and comments.
Thanks for the catch! We’re in the middle of updating all our translations, and I’m pretty sure this fix will be in the update.
