Thanks for the suggestion! Yep, this definitely makes sense – right now, we auto-detect certain words like “dinner”, but we don’t do any intelligent matching based on your past expenses. I’m not sure how technically involved this would be, but I’ll add it to our list of possible improvements for the future :)

It would also be nice to have an auto complete dropdown when typing Alice and Bob...

As of late 2015, Google Wallet does not currently have a public API for person-to-person payments, so unfortunately there’s not a way for us to integrate with them directly. If Google adds that ability at some point in the future, then we’d love to consider this!

I can definitely see how that would be useful! We’ve got a bunch of features already on our to-do list, but I’ll pass on the suggestion at our next team meeting and see if we want to add that sometime soon.

I'm using Splitwise with someone who lives at my home. We have recurring expenses and we try to have a proper activity history. This is why we try to write the proper name of the shop as expense same. In order to speed up the encoding of an expense, would it be possible to add some kind of auto complete of the name while encoding? Or even better, create predefined expense (groups) that we could choose upon creating an expense? Or both ideas at the same time... :)
