In uneven splitting, allow a „wrong“ total to be handled wisely
It often happens that the given order — first enter total, then split it — turns out very inflexible.
Especially with tips or shared expenses I find myself with a difference (let’s say the bill with tip is 28, I’m splitting „by dish“, then I realize the tip needs to be split separately and I would rather remove it from the total — but I can NOT leave the uneven splitting screen unless i have entered the EXACT amount ... annoying!)
Same applies to „oops I have forgotten to include one more person“. I’d have to add the amount to…

Integrate with Tikkie
The Tikkie app allows for creating a payment request, which will redirect the user to their own bank to do the payment. This would allow for easy settlement of a group's debt.

clarify "settle all ballances" with a snapshot of the balances that it settled
when individuals who are part of mutiple groups settle their balances, their debts across groups are netted-out with transactions. This feature has almost always caused confusion when I've used it because: 1) users often forget they are settling across mutiple groups so when and unexpected debit appears it confuses them 2) after settling it is very hard to re-trace what the various balances were beforehand, so the user gets confused trying to re-trace what settled what.
I think the settle all balances dialogue and the transactions it creates should give a summary of the various balances that it will settle…4 votesThanks for the suggestion! We definitely want to improve the clarity around these expenses.

Integrate with Beemit (Australia)
Settling accounts is the most frustrating part of using splitwise. Understand integrating with banks directly may be tricky from a compliance perspective but there are payment apps out there. Integration with these, would facilitate easy settlement of accounts.

Add categories for each individual itemized item
When you scan a receipt you may have gone to a store and bought multiple categories of things, like groceries and household goods. You should be able to indicate which items on a receipt are which category.

Add Cringle as payment option
I'm not sure if this German based app, might be willing to cooperate with you, it's called Cringle.
It's an app created for small payments (max. 250€ a month) with friends and family. The app is quite simple to use and could enhance the Splitwise experience at least in Europe or perhaps only Germany...
Here the link to it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.cringle.cringle

Personalize split receipt items
Right now is possible to delete the items or modify their amount after the scan.
It would be great to can choose the split type between all the ones available for any single item. Even better by selecting more than one and then selecting the split type.7 votesThanks for the suggestion! Makes sense as a future improvement to that feature.

Payment to PayPal Money Pool directly from Splitwise
It would be good have the option of paying directly to PayPal Money Pool from Splitwise. This way when a Money Pool is created in PayPal and an invoice in Splitwise is created to contribute towards Money Pool, users will be able to settle it through Splitwise and it will be a smooth settlement.
