We’d love to make Splitwise better for tracking personal expenses (though we’re mostly focused on splitting for the time being). For now, your best bet is probably to make a new group for personal expenses, with yourself as the only member.

When i create a self group, each time i add an item , i get a popup asking "do you want to add this item.. you are the only one in the group."
People come to software to handle bills for two main reasons
1. spliting bills with some one else (which u guys captured very well)
2. and most important . to see their spending per month after including the split bills.
