I was just going to suggest this.

I think this idea can apply to any bill that has costs that can be directly correlated to different individuals. Cell phone bills are a great example, but this could also apply to utility bills, joint ownership mortgages, rent, etc. Basically any bill with multiple names on them can be viewed this way.

Similar to the way some SaaS's like Intuit's Mint can connect to bills and bank accounts directly, I wonder if Splitwise could either do this through Mint or directly with other companies (e.g. T-Mobile)?

In the future I could see Splitwise even going a step further and being a broker for these companies, selling a share and fairness paradigm to attract business to the brokered companies. You can do this by suggesting family plans and managing them for the user. Perhaps you can get even crazier and broker large deals for these companies and combine multiple family plans from many different users into 1? It starts off as peer to peer family plan sharing (trusted through Splitwise as the broker), maximizing the discount for each individual. It then turns into huge family of family deals you can broker with companies. Get your brokerage fee and everyone is happy because the service to the end user is still free.
