    We’d love to make Splitwise better for tracking personal expenses (though we’re mostly focused on splitting for the time being). For now, your best bet is probably to make a new group for personal expenses, with yourself as the only member.

    YES PLEASE! The group with just you is an OK workaround, but it's rather annoying to have the pop-up reminding you you are the only person in the group, then it doesn't show up as an expense because it treats it as a group expense and says that all debts are settled.

    Seems like it would be relatively easy to just create a default personal group and, as the OP suggested, there would be no need for a separate personal expense tracking app and this would truly be the only one necessary!
