I suggest you ...

is it possible to integrate UPI (UNIFIED PAYMENT SYSTEM) for Indian users ??

UPI is a payment method introduced in India to transact between users and organisation. it would simplify the transactions between users if that can be integrated to Splitwise ✌

Thanks for suggesting UPI as a payment method. We’re looking into UPI, and would like to know your thoughts on how you’d like Splitwise to support UPI:

    - Integrate with a UPI app like BHIM or PhonePe
    - Integrate with your banking app
    - Let you send money to a virtual address, phone #, or IFSC from within Splitwise
    - Something else?

Please let us know in the comments!

There are still changes and outages in BHIM or PhonePe. Hence the best option would be Splitwise would "Let you send money to a virtual address, phone #, or IFSC from within Splitwise"

It's best to integrate with a app like BHIM or Phonepe because everyone uses them.
We need this feature fast :D

UPI option, if integrated to Splitwise, can help users to directly pay to the other lenders bank account

*99# ussd code can be used in India to Send and create collect requests via UPI. No integration required with another third party app. Do look into this!

this will allow customers to settle their expenses directly from the bank instead of ewallets by third party vendors.

Unified Payment Interface (UPI) is new payment system introduced in India where the money can be transferred to beneficiary using the mobile number or Virtual Payment. Please Integrate it with Splitwise so that payment can be done easily instead of Paytm where is money is transferred to wallet.UPI is being introduced in Uber, WhatsApp and Google

        Integrate UPI payment via Mypoolin.

Mypoolin is a peer to peer payment app which utilizes UPI for fund transfer.
And UPI is a payment method introduced by Govt. of India to transact directly between users, directly from bank account to account. It is the fastest and most convenient method to transfer money.
It would be very helpful in settling money and justify the functionality of Splitwise.

I think for settling up you should add UPI support. Very convenient.
        1) Ask users to enter the UPI virtual address
        2) When settling up show settle using UPI.

It takes 2 mins to settle up.

Waiting for this integration. UPI is way better than payPal or any wallet in India.

If you guys at splitwise are actually looking at an Indian Payment platform - UPI it is. Bank agnostic, based on India stack and way higher potential adoption than visa+MasterCard+wallets combined
