Why am I seeing an expense limit?

Splitwise has introduced a daily expense limit for our free tier.

We are committed to providing an excellent product that you can depend on for years to come, without violating user privacy, selling data to marketers, or blanketing our apps with spammy ads. Like many other services on the internet, we offer a free level of service while depending on paid subscriptions to support our operations. To do that, we need to make sure the features we offer in our free and paid plans keeps Splitwise financially sustainable.

You can subscribe to Splitwise Pro to immediately remove the daily limit, and gain access to many more awesome Pro features.

Alternatively, you can add more expenses as soon as the daily limit resets, or ask a friend to add the expenses on your behalf. Your friend can add expenses as paid by you by tapping ‘you’ in the “Paid by you and split equally” line on the add expense form.
