I don't understand why you are not implementing this feature? You are procrastinating it for long time.

This would be an extremely handy and useful feature.

My partner and I have a group and we've established that because I make more money at work our split isn't 50/50 but rather 60/40. Every time we add a bill we need to set up a custom split. I think streamlining this we a default group setting would be nice

Very nice app! Useful and practice! My suggestion is to have the possibility of Friends configuration, for example: I have a group of 4 friends, three friends shared the expanses and one friend don't share he's only a person who we invite to participate in group as information or another responsability.

My housemates and I create a new group to split expenses each month. Sometimes we have a lot of shared expenses in one group and we want to do the same unequal split on all of them. This would come in handy!

Develop a feature allowing split percentage at group level. This will ease the process of not requiring us to split the bill every time I enter expense.

This will be particularly useful when we know a particular group expenses are always split in known manner (eg. Split 30%, 30% and 40% always when we enter expense in a group called 'grocery' between three people)

There can always be an over-ride function while entering expenses.

I think this feature is very useful. Please add this feature in your next update.

If a group of people want to share expenses of a mess.

Say a person 'A' eats 3 times for 30 days, person 'B' eats 2 times for 25 days and person 'C' eats sometimes 1 time and sometimes 2 times, for 15 days.

The total expense shall be split according to the share of each person for a month. ie person A has a total share of 30x3=90 for the whole month. Person B has 25x2=50 shares. But the case of person C need to be entered daily, which is currently not possible.

So I recommend a separate section called mess, as there is house, trip etc, which would enable to enter daily mess details without much confusion.

It would really help a lot!

My family (4 members) often travel with my brother's family (3 members). It would be great to split by default with shares at 4/3. Now I can do it manually for every expense. I love Splitwise but this is a blocking point, I would be open to pay for "Splitwise Pro" for this feature. If not I would need to move to another App which is able to set default shares for each group.

So it has been 3 1/2 years and every year they are postponing the feature. I think it is really useful for groups, please add this soon!

My household utilities are divided by shares. My roommate pays 2 share and I pay 1 share. The current group setting by default divides expenses equally. I am wondering if there is any way I can make my default group setting to divide expenses by shares.

This is exactly what I am looking for. I want to split the group expenses by share. Like my roommate pays 2 share and I pay 1 share. Can this setting be added for a group?

It would be nice if we can save a standard % value for each member of a group. My husband and I are splitting our costs by % due to our income and so we wouldn't have to edit it for every single transaction. Thank you.

Suppose I know that in a particular group..divisions would be like 1/10, 4/10, 2/10, 3/10...so option should be there to save it.

After editing a bill that is split by percentage, it says balance not matched.

e.g. A & B split a bill of 40$. Each share: 50% i.e. 20$. Then bill saved.
Now, A decides to edit it and make the total of 50$. App should save each share as 25$.
But it doesn't remember the percentage entered, and just keeps the computed value i.e. 20$.
So, the total by share is 40$ and total bill is 50$. User has to manually enter the percentage again. Which frankly i believe is an headache.

When splitting unequally by %, app should store percent values of individual share and not the computed values. So after every edit it'll compute again and user need not be displeased by entering the same details again!
