I presume that you are working on Hiding Groups instead of Deleting them.
What i wanna suggest is that if you can provide both the options, Deleting & Hididng, it would be good.
But Deleting should be done only after all the users in that group are Settled Up.22 votes
Update: we now hide groups that have been settled up for at least 40 days. You can also still delete groups.
We’d definitely like a better way to handle the closing/hiding of groups, besides just deleting the group entirely. We’ve got a lot on our to-do list, but we’re hoping to add this feature in the not-too-distant future :)
Can you add a feature to Close a Group instead of deleting it?
All participants have to be Settled up to close a group. People cannot add expenses to a closed group. Show these groups is a separate section. It will help keep the history of groups.3 votes

While we don’t have plans for implementing a feature to close a group, we do have a feature on the web and iOS (coming soon to Android) where we hide groups and friends that have been settled up for more than a month automatically from your summary view.
I noticed today that there are just last 5 months of data and transactions are shown what if I need to see more or all the transaction since I joined the split-wise.
Please advice and have us an ability to select how much data you wants to see and you can store that data on our phone. Not on your server.

Sorry for the confusion! Splitwise actually keeps all of your data indefinitely – if you’re no longer seeing an old expense, it’s most likely because someone else deleted that bill, or because an old group was automatically hidden due to inactivity.
If you’d like to download a copy of your data, you can always export any group or friend to a spreadsheet on our website. Just log in, click on a friend or group in the left sidebar, then click the settings icon at the top of the right sidebar and choose “Export as spreadsheet”.

I add a transaction with a, b
Then I edit transaction to add c, d
The update does not show up
Then I go to transaction with a and delete this transaction
But it still shows up with b

We should have worked through all of the issues you were having. Please let us know if you are still having problems editing expenses!
For budgeting purposes, it would be nice if you could do two things:
1) Let us mark a specific charge as "paid". I know you can settle up with that amount, but the specific bill you paid still shows up
2) Allow categories within a group (i.e. groceries, rent, gas, etc. for my apartment group)1 vote

Your second suggestion exists already! You can input bills into categories within groups by clicking the category icon when adding a new bill. You can view trends in group expenses by category on the web by clicking the “Trends” button in the right-hand side bar.
I have groups made for trips or for certain occasions and what i want to know for my records is how much have i spent on that occasion or trip. Currently, i can see only the break up of how much I spent on each expense item but I want to also see a sum of that, i.e total expense for the entire group as well for each member of that group3 votes
We now have totals available for groups on all three platforms.
I have 2-3 friends with name "Amit", to know which Amit is who, I need to see the details of friend, on Desktop site, I am not seeing email Id of my friend.

Hey thanks for the feedback. If you hover your mouse over your friend’s name it should show you your friend’s email address.

Hey, thanks for the feedback! We do have the feature you’re looking for. When adding an expense you can tap on the equally button and unselect your husband.
I went on a trip with 11 friends. They all joined splitwise and are in my event. When I add an expense I still have to manually add 11 people to each expense. it's ruining the user experience. add all function for people that are part of the event. in the future possibly create favorites list etc.1 vote
Hey, thanks for your feedback! We do have that. When you go to add an expense, type the name of the group rather than any of the people in the “With you and” field.
I have 13 groups/trips set up now. We create one for a specific trip and once its settled, rather than delete it, would be good to have a archive section where it can be stored perpetually rather than having to delete. The reason I want to delete is because this list will grow over time and then there are way too many of them.9 votes

I can't able to track all the bill's shared by my friend. Everytime I need to come to splitwise webpage to see the bill's. You could add a option on the setting page about send email for each bill shared in the group. Some people like this, some may not. I prefer to receive email on each addition of new bills.3 votes
You can now receive emails when expenses are added, edited or deleted.
Hi, I was wondering if you could add a feature which shows the total amount on the shared bill. Because when someone submits a shared bill, we will know just our share. It would be good if it was like "This is the total amount and your share is this much". Just a thought!2 votes

Thanks for the suggestion! We actually do have an existing “Pets” category (under “Home”), but I know its icon looks more like a dog than a cat. We probably won’t add a separate category just for cats, but maybe the next time we update our icons, we’ll pick an icon that’s more feline-friendly :)

Hmm…Splitwise already keeps track of currencies separately (e.g. “you owe $50 + you owe £20”), so I’m not sure what happened here. Update: this is now available on iPhone. To enable, go to the Me tab and click on Passcode. Once you’ve added a passcode, you will be able to use Touch ID or the passcode to unlock the app.

Sent an invite to two wrong emails, and now I can't invite the right one. He's already my friend, but there's no way to add him to the group. If there is, its poorly placed. How do I delete a friend?3 votes
To delete a friend, go to the friends page on the web app and click on the gear menu by their name. An option to remove the friend should appear.
Similarly, the gear menu for groups has an option to edit the group settings which will allow you to add and remove members.
