We just added a very basic calculator function to our web app, so you can now use basic mathematical operations when entering a cost (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). We hope to add similar features to our mobile apps at some point in the future!Harshal Shah commented
I suggest to have an inbuilt calculator function in the expense cost field. Like, if I have 4 milks in the bill, I can just go like
Cost: 2.89 + 5.20 + 2.39
This should end up having a total in the new third row.
I’ll pass on the suggestion! I’m not sure it’s applicable to a lot of Splitwise users – most people only use one group on Splitwise, or no groups at all – but it’s an interesting idea, and worth discussing.Harshal Shah commented
I’m suggesting to have nested groups. So for example, I’m my apartment group, I might need to make another group for all the groceries we bought this week and next week for another purchase, I can make a new sub group saying “Walmart <Date>”. Please see if you can accommodate this. This will be really helpful.
