Allow Venmo Charges
You venmo integration is great, but you currently cannot request money and create a Venmo charge. This would help remind people to settle debts. You've already integrated with the Venmo API, and according to their documentation, all you need to do is put a negative amount in the request to create a charge -- this should be easy (see: https://developer.venmo.com/docs/payments).
Great idea, and thanks for the citation. We’re definitely interested in improving our Venmo integration in time, and this would be a good way to do so.
Best,
Jon

Venmo doesn't work for me. And I use the same email address for both apps. Splitwise says I was paid, Venmo shows nothing.
This app doesn't work. And the support is a joke. -

Would love to have this!! It would really saves time especially when you are in charge of family plans and not everyone is paying on time

Love this idea, create the splitwise for a group and they get charged their individualized amounts in Venmo rather than having to create multiple actions for people who refuse to download the splitwise app.

I would also like to be able to request payment via Venmo rather than only be able to pay. I take care of the bills for my apartment and my roommate isn't always on top of checking Splitwise, so I have to add my bills here and then send her a Venmo request as well.

My group of friends use Venmo Trust Charges quite often. It would be nice if we were able to use this feature in settle up within Splitwise. For example, if a group of us went out to dinner, and I put the tab on my card, I could put the bill into splitwise, and immediately settle up with my friends by initiating a venmo trust charge in the settle up screen. Right now, if I hit settle up as the person who intially paid for the dinner, it just shows that my friends have paid me, even though they haven't actually paid me yet. Right now, I have been initiating a trust charge in venmo, and then I switch over to splitwise, and settle up that amount. Just looking to remove a step, and streamline the two apps a little more.
