Allow negative adjustments in Split by Adjustment
Allow split by adjustment to not only add but subtract amounts. For instance, removing someone from a $5 purchase of eggs on an otherwise equal grocery bill if they are vegan.

Makes sense. I will leave under review to allow further voting to see how many others need this.
Best,
Jon

Hi! This would be really great to have. When are you going to add it? There would be two ideas how to do it.
Either add the minus function to subtract, just like the icon shows plus/minus OR
When choosing in the first column to split equally, it would remember who, so when choosing more specifically who paid extra, it's not even going to charge those people, who weren't applied on the first page
Otherwise love the app, this function should be solved -

I really miss the opportunity to ass negative amounts in the app. I miss this att least once a week!

Adjusting by negative amounts could be one of top common scenario where one wants to adjust another person's share.
BTW, the symbol does give you a thought that it does support negative amounts.
Looking forward to that feature

Pretty funny that the icon has a negative in it but it doesn’t allow for negatives.

There is a possibility to add amount of money, i.e. one person spent more then average. However, there isn't a way to handle the opposite, when one person spend less then average.

This is literally the first thing I tried to do with my first transaction using splitwise. I came here from a search because I thought I was missing something in the UI.

I tried to paste a negative sign on the adjustment entry and the bill overflowed haha

We have used your app many times a week for more than a year now. This option has been missing since the beginning. The way we solve it now is to create two bills instead of one - which I'm sure is not your intent. Please add this!

Agreed. Loving the app. Using with partner for shared expenses. There are times when we are receiving a refund for a purchase, and not allowing a split credit to the list is frustrating.
