Attach a file (an image, PDF, etc.) to a bill
Our household is paperless and we scan every bill and receipt. It would be awesome if we could attach a scan of the receipt to the bill.
Attachments are now supported on all of our platforms: web, iPhone, and Android. When adding a bill, just click the button that says “Add an image” (web) or the button that looks like a camera (iPhone and Android).

On Android, I can't see an attachment (xlsx file) that was made on an iPhone. A friend posted a split with an expenses spreadsheet, and I can't see the sheet

I always get "Splitwise does not allow file uploads larger than 2MB. Would you like to save this expense without the attachment"? I don't see any options to compress or reduce the image taken from iPhone. whether I take a new photo or pic the existing photo same error.

You need to make it idiot proof and have an option to take photo and import when using the + feature. This provides full transparency between the parties when there is an actual receipt. It also would make it helpful to remember who paid for what, what has been entered so far etc. It also prevents the adder from guessing or rounding up the actual costs.

It will be better if there is an option to add picture of bill that is supposed to be splitted

Each expense at restaurants, or on vacations can have the option to attach their corresponding receipt/bills. This will be kinda cool if somebody has to cross check their expenditure.

When a bill is splitted, it would be more sensious to attach the bill to the participants by taking/scanning the picture. Scanning the bill amount from the bill and auto divide is a user friendly and a better enhancement.

If any one says you didn't spend that much amount then we should have a proof. So add a pic option so that the bills will be taken a pic and can be added as a proof

When you attach an image *and* add an expense category, then save and go back to edit the bill, the thumbnail is replaced with the expense category icon, instead of the uploaded picture.
