I believe this is very useful & needed.

If am a recipient:
When a bill split across multiple friends (not in a group), it is important to know what the total amount was and what was my share.
With this, we can ensure that we are not paying less or more.

As a first step, it would be great if you could atleast mention how much was the total bill (along with the existing display of much I owe him/her).

If I am the bill reporter:
There is also an issue when trying to edit a bill that I had split across multiple friendships.
In case I forgot to add a person or errorneously bill was shared (unequally), then I should be able to just click the reported bill and modify the same.
Unfortunately, now I will have to delete the bill individually for each friend and then re-add the bill
