I recently went on a road trip with 10 other friends. The expenses started getting confusing (a perfect use case for Splitwise) but I'm not going to ask my 10 friends to create a Splitwise account just for the 5 or 6 expenses that would have been included. It would be nice to have, at a minimum, the ability to create a group and split expenses and view the totals, all from my phone (or the web app) and not require any action from my friends. This seems very similar to the plates app functionality, but instead of starting with the total bill, I would add expenses, like I do with a normal Splitwise group. The workflow I envision is that I pull up the app (or the browser) and create a "quick group." I then add the names of everyone in it, then start adding and splitting expenses. When I'm finished, I can see what everyone owes, and then generate a link to share (similar to how Google has a "share link" functionality on many of it's services). People would know their share by the name I had assigned them. Maybe anyone with the link can add/update group expenses and record payments (or maybe the link is view-only, or maybe the user can toggle that setting). I think this would take Splitwise to a new level of usefulness for me, since I don't always want to be that guy that forces everyone to sign up for a new service for something so trivial, and I think it would help people to see the utility of the service before creating the account, since most of my friends don't know about Splitwise.

Sometime i owe some money to a friend, but i am not interested to invite him Split Wise or I don't care if he already has Split Wise account. I just want to record those debts in my account for my personal purpose and i don't want to share that info to that other friend. I will pay at some point in future and then i will clear that sentry in my account. Currently i am using one note to track such kind of private info. Can you provide such feature?
