allow users to make payments with Dwolla!
It would be awesome if users could make payments with Dwolla. One of my roommates doesn't like to use Paypal for ethical reasons, and I'm starting to agree. Dwolla is cheaper, anyway. I would be thrilled if I could use it to make and receive payments.

I'm genuinely curious - what is unethical about PayPal?
Also, PayPal is free to send money to friends/family (which is the intended use of Splitwise - not for business purposes), so I'm not sure how Dwolla is cheaper than free...

Glad you're looking into it! Dwolla would be a better fit for Splitwise than any other payment system I've seen for a few reasons. They transfer as fast as possible (don't sit on your money like the banks & paypal), they are fee-less for transactions <$10, and only $0.25 for transactions >$10. It's a service that's really in our beset interest!

i cannot afford transfer via PayPal which charges me 4%. Most of your users are individual consumers who split bills among friends, coworkers and relatives. so 4% of 100$ is 4$, for which I could rather buy my friend a good Latte. but definitely can afford Dwolla because of the flexibility it offers.. Or even Amazon payments
