how the heck can someone else delete an entry I made ?
Your application is awesome, but it has a huge flaw when it comes to the part where someone else is allowed to delete an entry i made. I see that you have notifications set up when such thing happens but this will not work. You should not allow this to happen in the first place. By giving everyone right to delete anyone else's entry in a group you are losing customers like me to billmonk.

We allow group members to edit or delete anything within that group. This is because we want anyone within that group to be able to fix a mistake and have total transparency. If you create a friendship with a person, then the only people that can edit or delete an expense will be the people involved.

Splitwise is not just to work with friends (we might not even need to do a lot of accounting with friends in the first place). Many times, it is to split expenses between flatmates (not all of whom are very cooperative) or between people who just got to know each other on a trip.
The system can be gamed very easily if people start deleting entries in which they owe money. If someone else can to point out a mistake in an entry, they should be allowed to comment (and of course they don't have to pay until they've agreed with the amount) but never delete the entry itself. That defeats the entire purpose of trying to maintain an account in the first place.
A system of just sending notifications will just not work as they might get cleared without being read. At least an email should be sent. But the best would be to prevent others from deleting the entry that someone created.
Being a Pro user, I'd request that you at least offer it as a feature in the Pro plan.
Thanks.

I want to make a settlement on behalf of my friend and I want to track how much he owed to me. I current method I need to add multiple transactions to track this. instead I need to do this in a single transaction which make my work easier and error proof.
