It should be possible to make your phone number visible for your friends. In Sweden we have something called Swish where you can transfer money to other people, using their phone number. If you could integrate your app with Swish, that would be really great!

A competitor 'Steven' now offers integration with Swish. I would still prefer to use Splitwise, were this an option.

Swish is Sweden’s way of transferring money between individuals. It’s not dependent upon a specific bank but working for all using their phone number. If you could make it possible for swedes to integrate with their Swish you’re onto something.

It would be awesome to be able to settle payments via swish, we use our friends' phone numbers to "swish" money, it's direct and free for Swedish users. Furthermore, its use it is broadly used, I think it would be a great incentive for Swedish users to have this method of payment because, so far and talking for myself and a few friends with whom I use the service, we think your app is Fantastic!
