make a Splitwise Pro account for couples
My partner and I use Splitwise and would both see th value in using Splitwise Pro, but we think it is a little unfeasible to spend $60-80 on the product for the same features. Currently I am the only one that has it and if we want to look in to our spending in depth we have to use my phone instead of what is currently available.
Would it be possible to have a family account set up, where we can share pro? Like Google Play Family, where you pay $5 extra to add people to your app accounts.
Thanks for the suggestion! Makes sense, I’ll leave this open for further voting for now.

There's a substantial number of votes here, and it also says that voting is now closed. Was there any decision regarding this idea? I would also appreciate something like this, and would upgrade from a free user to a Pro user if within that price I was able to extend the benefit of unlimited expenses into one family group. I think that would be a perk that could potentially sell more Pro accounts.

Another way this might work would be if you could have one person with Pro be able to select a group such that everyone in that group gets some limited Pro features (unlimited expense at least, maybe also itemization). It would be a lot more compelling to me if I could buy a subscription for my housemates, but there's no way we're all going to buy our own copy.

Disappointed voting is closed especially now that there is a limit on the number of daily entries for the free tier, more people will be interested in accounts that can be shared for families, roommates, it couples.

Yes please. I have a pro account for expenses with my wife. She’s frustrated that she can only enter a couple expenses per day and doesn’t believe we should both have to pay for a pro account.

I’m unable to vote for this (for some reason), but please may I add my own +1 for this request? I use Family Sharing from the iOS App Store for many other apps, and I was disappointed to find that I was unable to do so for Splitwise. I would happily pay more for this option but two, separate, full-price paid upgrades is too much to ask. I’m sorry if this comes across as frugal or lacking in respect for the developers, but I honestly believe that it’s an ask too far for couples to be paying twice, in full, to use Splitwise Pro in this context.

I'm another: Id consider pro for $40 but I'm absolutely not paying $80 for my partner and I.

Just bought pro and cannot share it with my wife. Is this still not available? If not I will be canceling. Thx

Ageed - a family plan is needed otherwise we would simply stop using the app and look for an alternative.

It doesn't look like there's been any activity on this for at least a year. Does that mean the idea is dead? That would be a shame, the ability to have a shared account would be a pre-requisite for me to purchase pro.

Splitwise goes from being a great app with great features straight to too expensive and burdensome to use if you need to purchase more than one subscription for couples and families. Was entering my credit card info when I realised just how expensive using this app would for my partner and I. This NEEDS to be implemented ASAP. Will be using tricount until then, and will be buying tricount if no reasonable pricing is released for this app

+2 to this, too! We had a household of 6 and having one person record for everyone is not efficient.

Not sure if Under Review means I cannot vote on this, but I do vote on this bc I was about to subscribe, but it's only good if my husband and I can both use it and $60 is too steep IMO.

I am very disappointed that family sharing the subscription isn't an option. It it one of my MOST hated things about this app. It means that I have to use my phone to do all the hard work, 100% of the time to split bills. PLEASE enable family subscription sharing.

+2 to this. My partner and I would love to be able to use Pro features, but having to pay for 2 full, separate accounts is too much. If there were a family or couples plan we would definitely sign up. Given that the function of Splitwise is to track transactions among multiple people, mostly household members, it seems like a bad move on Splitwise's part to not offer that as an option.

+1 on this issue. I use Splitwise with my partner to split bills, and we would like to share the benefits of Splitwise Pro as a couple. I think it's a reasonable request: please make it happen!

Yes, please can you make this happen already? I echo what others have written about making Pro features available to both partners. If you're serious about wanting to provide users with true value, please consider offering a couples'/family plan.
