Feature reques: Move personal balance to group
In the knowledge base article "Why am I settled up in my friendship but still have balances with my friend in groups?", I learned that I can move the balance with A in group G to personal balance with A. However, I need to do the other way around: move the personal balance with A to group G. The story is like this: I owe $1 from A, B, C, D personally and separately, however, they are all in group G, so I would rather to move them to G so that I owe the group $4. Further, if there is an option to automatically balance between personal debt and group debt, it is much better.

Definitely makes sense! We’re working on better ways of settling up across both personal debts and group debts, because we know it’s a pain in the neck right now :) We hope to have new features to help with that soon!

We need this feature, even Splitwise pro ain’t provide moving friends balance to a group. Why hell should I get a Splitwise pro account.

Any update? I regularly do this by manually creating new entries in the group with the same balance amount and then marking the personal debt as paid. Pain in the a.. :)

It would be good if one can simplify debts with people in a group, and this comes under GROUP EXPENSES. This can lead to update in the Group balance. Kindly think of it

Consider groups for events.
When the event ends, all participants settle up their balances in the group.
If Alice owes Bob money for the event, she has to settle it even if Bob owes Alice money in their personal balance.
I propose the option "Settle in personal balance" to settle a group balance by migrating the debt into the personal account.
