Migrating from Buxfer to Splitwise
Hi. I'm a longtime buxfer user and have got all my roommates on it too where we track our shared expenses. I have been looking recently at splitwise and the design in IOS looks fantastic. I would like to move to splitwise from buxfer. Is there an easy way to do that? Like export csv from buxfer and import into splitwise ? I have almost 7 years worth of transactions in buxfer and so don't want to lose them when coming to splitwise.
Please help! Thanks
There is an importer at https://secure.splitwise.com/buxfer/import
Please check it out and email us at support@splitwise.com if you have any trouble.. You can reverse the import with the link at the bottom of the page if you are unhappy with the results.

The link appears to be broken. It'd be of great help if the tool exists. I'd been wanting to migrate the data over

Hi,
I am trying to get bunch of my friends to join splitwise from buxfer. But I was unable to import my data from buxfer. Is this feature working?

This is what the help section says
Help » Transactions » Status
A transaction can be assigned one of the following statuses:
Pending ( )
This status should be used to denote a transaction that you have manually entered, but hasn't yet cleared your bank. A pending transaction does NOT contribute to your expenses or account balances.
Reconciled ( )
This status should be used to denote a transaction that you manually entered, and has recently cleared your bank. This is useful if you receive monthly paper statements from your bank, and want to reconcile expenses that you manually entered.
Cleared
This is the default status for any transaction. It denotes a transaction that has cleared your bank.

Hi Vikram,
I'm just starting work on this now. I'm not as familiar with The Buxfer data as I need to be to get this done yet. Do you know what Cleared and Reconciled mean in the csv export?
