Add an option for the % of tax on that particular commodity. 5% or 2.5%, I am from Virginia and I have 1 single bill with electronics and groceries in it.

In a case like this, it’s probably easiest to add the electronics and the groceries as two different bills. Adding a % tax for each individual item seems like it would introduce a lot of complexity – depending on how many items are on your bill, you might end up having to type in an extra number dozens of times. Sorry!

I'm from India and it is typical here to have a different VAT (Value Added Tax) based on te nature of the food being consumed.
I can send you bills/checks which have food items charged with 12.5% VAT, alcoholic beverages with 5% VAT and non-alcoholic beverages with 25% VAT (yes, alcoholic beverages are cheaper). Itemizing this is only possible if you have one more column on the extreme right where you can specify the Tax %. This can coexist with the existing Tax% row.

I am from india and we have VAT (Value added tax) So please add that field. We also have Service chrges. Its good if you keep tak section customizable as well.
