Even with splitwise we feel that we should have a personal expense manager in which we can add our personal expenses.We don't want to download another app for this,you have provided a good service with splitting the bills already so if you add this feature of personal expense manager it will be great.

include an option to choose the source of payment like cash or a bank account. and keeping track of expenses including personal expenses i.e., non shareable expenses with any other.

Just a small display feature on app transaction level. Currently if I pay for myself in a group, then the transaction is displayed like this: "you paid for yourself-no balance" that's all. It would be great to display it in synch with other ones like : "you paid 10 and you owe 0 or no balance"
The issue actually is I created a group with me and my wife where I always pay for myself. If I just want to check if I added one 9.25 bill or not, I need to click each row for current month and check :(

If user have functionality to add their own expenses in the same app under another tab, then it would be a great money management app. Users don't have to use multiple apps just to split and manage expenses.

Yes yes this. I often add in my own personal spending in the group account and have it just me owe myself, but the UI isn't great food looking at what I spent. I mostly only use Splitwise for trips so this is super helpful for tracking my own trip expenses. Also would be great to sort by the type of icon... Hotels, transport etc. Also noticed you don't have Hostel show up as a hotel icon!!

If this app contains a graph for showing the categories on what we spent both in groups and personal that would be great...👍

In the friends tab, there should be a pinned thread, self, where I can log my personal expense at one go.
It shouldn’t affect the “who owes what” factor.

For people interested in tracking personal expenses, allow fast tracking of every expense and let them to be revised later to assign the proper group, splitting method etc.

Allow importing of bank account reports and categorize those items ass well

Keep the record of Money spent by the person who is using splitwise, so that he will know how many Money is being spent by him..

Split wise is the go-to for my girlfriend and me for dealing with our shared expenses. We spend our time between about 4 currencies a year and it has been a lifesaver in keeping track of it all. My only issue, is that because I do personal accounting on top of Split Wise I have to essentially do everything twice.

Proposal: Make an option to start an 'account' with yourself so you are not 'splitting' anything but merely accounting for your outgoings. This section would also include the data of the shared costs between you and others.

Split wise is a great app. I wish it had the facility to track personal expenses as well. I am using a different app(Pocket Expense) for tracking my own money. So whenever I spent, I have to add the bill in both the applications. If Splitwise had the functionality to track personal expense as well, it would have been great.

Yes this will make the app more complex. Maybe, you can provide this facility in a different app. And that application can communicate with splitwise when logged in with same user. ie when we add bill in expense tracking app, we must have an option to add the same in splitwise as well
