Ability to use a calculator when entering bill
When entering a bill, it would be handy if there's a quick plus button there so that I can add multiple items fast and easy.
Currently there's an empty button on the number pad that shows up which I think could very well be used for simple plus/minus calculations.
We just added a very basic calculator function to our web app, so you can now use basic mathematical operations when entering a cost (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). We hope to add similar features to our mobile apps at some point in the future!

Hoping that this project is still underway as it was "Started" 4 yrs ago. I have used this app for several years and this is the one missing feature to make this app complete...at least for myself.

Having a calculator would be helpful to quickly split amounts without having to quit the app

This needs adding. As soon as we started using this in the real world this became obvious.

There absolutely has to be a calculator option within the app. Summing up bills, tips for a restaurant or just splitting a payment in a more complex way, they all require a calculator, and switching between the calculator app to splitwise is annoying

Check out Money Manager EX App as an excellent example of how they have used a calculator for setting up a transaction. https://www.moneymanagerex.org/component/weblinks/weblink/30-download/16-download-stable-android-playstore?Itemid=435&task=weblink.go

1) Built in calculator in the unequal expense screen
2) Integrated to Venmo name. For some reason it did not open my Venmo App, and I had to log into the Venmo website browser to claim funds

Sometimes only each person's share amount is available, instead of the total amount.
In web version, we can input the split details first, and the total amount is automatically calculated and shown. It can then be typed into the total amount field.
Please also implement this feature in mobile app.

It will be great to have a calculator keypad for “split by exact amount” so user can do simple calculation like sum of few items with taxes.

when I go to add a new transaction. I should be able to say cost 20 + 10 instead of having to type 30. or 80 - 30 instead of 50 or any combination thereof.

This has been pain point for me, when I’ve a bill with, say, 10 items, but only 4 of them needs to be put up on Splitwise, I’ve to exit the app and use native calculator and then come back to enter the amount.
Hence a suggestion to put up a simple calculator interface for quick calculation (nothing scientific)

inbuilt calculator that would simply allow me to enter 95+124 and it should take 219 automatically.
I don't want to open an external calculator and then enter 219 -
