Show historical who owes whom what data
I'd like to be able to prove to my roommates that the numbers on Splitwise reflect an accurate picture of how much we owe each other. Typically there is a point in time at which we all agree that the numbers were correct on splitwise (e.g. right before a new person joins the group, right before a big purchase, etc.), but we're less confident that everything's been entered since that point. So I'd like to be able to click a transaction in the list, and then click "Show me what the numbers looked like right after this item posted". Then maybe have up/down arrows to advance a few items at a time through history and see how we arrive at the current numbers. Alternatively you could show timeseries of how the debts change with time, but at the granularity of single transactions. So I can say, "look you didn't owe me anything here, but then I paid June rent, and you never paid me for it." With a lot of transactions it can be time-consuming to find things like that.

I definitely sympathize – piecing together why someone owes what they owe can be really difficult, especially when it involves lots of old expenses. I’ll pass on the suggestion, but for now, if you’re using a group, you might want to try the “view printable summary” option on our website (which you can find by going to a group, then clicking the “view printable summary” link at the top of each month’s expenses). The printable summary gives you a basic version of your suggested feature: it shows your balance at the beginning of a month, then each individual expense for the month, and then your balance at the end of the month.
If you like Excel, you could also try the “Export to spreadsheet” option on the web (select a group, then click the settings icon at the top of the right sidebar, then choose “Export as spreadsheet”). It’s not as simple as your suggested feature would be, but you can potentially use that spreadsheet to calculate your balance at any given time.

Can we please have an added feature where we can see dashboards / status as of a particular date? I can only see the expense details (whom I owe, how much I owe, etc.) as of the date on which I am checking it. But can we please have a feature where it is almost like going back in time and seeing how it was at that point in time? Thank You!

Introduce a feature for daywise historical data in addition to current Monthly Trends/Data.
I recently had to argue with my roommate about some bills that we didnt update on splitwise but while calculating my share of expenses, The debt of our group towards me was inlcuded in calculations. My room mate later forgot that he had included that money in the calculation of expenses that the group owed me on splitwise as on that specific day and there was no shortcut way to know the exact amount that the group owed me that day. So i had to calculate all the payments by and towards me from the start of the month to that day which obviously took me good 45 minutes.
This could have been easily done if Splitwise showed historical Day wise balance sheet.
