Backdated recurring bill
I have add some bill for the past that should be recurring.
If I add now (11-Dec.-2014) a monthly bill starting from 1st September it will not add the monthly payment off October, November and December, but says nex bill on January.
Please add the ability to create a full set of recurring bill starting from a back date.

Splitwise, It's the same old issue. Have you implemented this gesture, as you promised you would in 2014? https://monkeymart.io/home

I also need future recurring bill... Perhaps implement it with a start and end date?

This issue is now old enough to go to school. Perhaps it's time to fix it and pay off the technical debt?

Would also love this, in fact I'd happy donate to get this fixed if there was such a button.

Splitwise, Same problem. Did you add this gesture like you said you would 6 years ago in 2014?

Hi Splitwise Team,
Any update on this feature. As Javi mentioned, it's been 3 years now. I understand you are a small team but this 3 year delay is the kind of information potential customers use when assessing whether to upgrade to premium or not and the proactiveness of the developers.
Also notice that this website doesn't have an ssl certificate. That concerns me (and Google!)

Hello, I created a monthly recurring expense but it started around 1 year ago. I assumed the system would create all due payments (individually), or at least sum all the money that everyone owes me. It only creates the first one and the next after today.
Thank you! -

I just ran into an issue with this. Added an expense that recurs weekly, beginning today last week, but it only shows up as owing the payment once instead of twice since Splitwise uses the creation date for recurrences rather than the expense date. Certainly not the biggest deal in the world as in my case it's only one additional payment, but hope a fix/rewrite of this is still planned!

This would be super. And I note that this is quite old!
Additionally, you should lump in the fact that recurring bill edits should affect future bills, not just the one that you tweak. Generally, the recurring feature is one of the weaker points (and actually is super important for the way we use Splitwise - we have lots of recurring bills, and being able to adjust them (incl. retrospectively) would be the single biggest usability build).
E.g. would have said that for me, this was way more important than the new UI.

I would also find this very useful as I have 3 years of bills that I'm entering. The recurring internet and insurance bills would be much easier to add if this feature was available. Right now I'll have to add them all manually.

Yes, this would be super useful. Right now you can set the start date to be in the past, but it'll only create a single past occurence.

A way to set a recurring payment many months ago and to have it repeat up until now. Useful for filling in back data.
