I dont understand why splitwise has become so popular, It is the most frustrating websharing site I've used. It is incredibly frustrating to have site that is simple and works incredibly well (billmonk) and clearly be bought out by such a frustrating site.

I feel like this site does nothing but frustrate me. Yes it is simple to add bills and it looks very pretty. But all of the is greatly outweighed by how much frustration it causes. It is especially aggregating when I try to find an alternative only to realize you have bought out any other decent site that did exist.

I find it quite hard to share a house with multiple people and clearly understand who owes what for what - things disappear or get added incorrectly easily. Balances almost never add up because of some silly detail. I've taken to using an excel spreadsheet like I did 10 years ago because its so challenging to use. I thought that I would give it another spot only to be once again challenged by the site.

To simply modify a group - as in someone moved out and someone else in, should be a very simple task. I dont think you should have to add someone thru email or fb and having to figure out how to manage it with someone who isn't living there but cant be deleted because they still have a balance is quite frustrating.

Billmonk was nothing but simple and easy - splitwise has been the complete opposite.
