Pick a date using calendar layout (i.e. the layout in calendar apps), replacing the date/month/year scroll
It will be easier to pick a date using calendar layout, as sometimes if we use date scroll, we may miss the date/month/year and need to scroll it again.
Thanks for the suggestion! I can see how this would be nice, so I’ll add it to our list of possible improvements for future updates :)

Would solve the only complaint I have about the app. My partner and I keep all our receipts and I process then every few weeks. The current date input is so tedious to use when updating the dates. A calendar picker would probably save me half the time it takes!

Much-needed feature for an excellent app!

Please please please. The scroll selector is outdated and not practical. Most of the times I am entering expenses incurred several days ago. My OCD begs that I assign the expense to the right day, but it’s easier to remember “oh that was Sunday’s brunch” instead of “what day of the month was that Sunday”... I think you get the gist :)

Instead of/Along with Add a Bill -> enter the details -> click on Save, a feature like Add Bills -> Enter multiple bill details -> Click on Save would be great.
This would reduce the number of steps when I have bills pending from few months or when a person just finished a trip and wants to enter multiple trip bills.

Waiting for this feature. This sure is a necessity because it looks good on the UI and is useful as well.

Around a year back splitwise update was rolled replacing the calendar layout with date scroll layout. Its really difficult to use the present structure. Sometimes I need to add an expense around 20 days back. It's really difficult to scroll , and ultimately I have to type the date. At other times, I remember that I paid for something on last Monday. But what was the date then ? Either I have to calculate the date orally, or I need to open my phone's calendar app to check the date. I would request you to rollback to the previous calendar layout for the easiness. Since many users would be new here, hence they wouldn't know this feature existed.

I add lots of bills at once, with Splitwise and my bank statement side-by-side.
When doing so, I every transaction assumes the current date and I must click to change it to the day I actually bought dog food / detergent / whatever.
It would be nice to have a 'calendar view' such that I could click on a day and add a bill _to that date_, sort of like how you add events to the Google Calendar / iCal.

Hi there. I'm loving Splitwise and have recommended at least 10 people to use it. I would like to +1 this suggestion (actually +100) if possible - I'm often back dating expenses as they hit my credit card a few days later, and not having a pop up calendar seems so counter-intuitive seeing as most apps do.
PLEASE consider developing this for a subsequent edition. I can't imagine I would be that difficult?
Many thanks

It will be easy to pick specific date directly in scenarios like.. weekends, last 2nd day of month/ we only remembered the day but not exact date. In present method we need to check the calendar for specific day's date and then add here.
