.. add settings for the picture-quality of the uploaded receipt?
Because sometimes it seems the picture is really low res while the original photo on the phone is high res.
Sorry for the trouble! We try to strike a good balance between image size and picture quality (I think we generally crop images to 1000×1000px). I’m not sure we’ll add a manual setting for image quality, but hopefully we can keep making improvements to allow for better images.

Mine has transformed a very clear photo to a very blurry one. I need to re-attach it in a browser to make it clear. One of my friend that uses an android also encounter this problem. My friends those who use ios have no problem at all. Maybe the default value of 'image quality reduction' is too high for androids.

I'm having trouble as well. The photo preview before capturing looks crisp, after I press the button to take the photo, everything is blurred.

The current method is resulting in blurred photos even when the picture is a 1920x1080 screenshot, which, according to me is pretty common.
Please increase the default cropping size.

But the scaling down brings the quality down and on big receipts with fine print you can't read anything for example. I love the app its the best one around but I'm forced to go with others apps which are shit but allow full size images. Maybe integrate Google Drive or cloud service if you can't handle big files. Would also function as a backup if splitwise doesn't work or the phone gets wiped etc

Had couple of instances where I went in search of the receipt but turned out to very poor quality. And is of no use at all for any type of processing. It would be highly appreciated if we can add this feature in the nearest furture to capture high quality image

Hi, the strange thing is that the Android app changes a perfect high res picture to this:
width: 291px; height: 516px;
This is way too small.

Splitwise doesn't take receipt images over 1mb... my phone camera takes pics that are a little over 2mb.
