In many cases, people settle up and there's that one last person who forgot to add expenses. This throws off all of the balances. It would be nice to have a button that you click that says you're done adding expenses and lets everyone else in the group know that you're done. Maybe even have the option to click that button for someone else as well.

Please, implement the feature which locks the group and no one can add any expenses in it.
The only access is to settle up and managed by the group admin only. It helps lots of peoples to track as well as maintain the group (if its large) furthermore it prevents the guys who always search the other app which has this feature.

once you freeze the group then we cant add or edit the expenses(only allow via group admin or Creator) this will help us setting balance accurately

I think there should be a freeze transactions functionality in the app. Once I select to freeze transaction for particular group before a specified period, nobody should be able to make any changes to the older transaction than the specified period till every member of the group approves it. This is extremely important and will help you with other international markets.

I LOVE Splitwise. Super duper awesome.

My biggest frustration working with a group is that some people don't "get it" and start sending settle up payments as soon as they join the group. This is problematic because it creates more work later after additional expenses have been added (with simplify debts). It would be really great if I could enable a setting on the group which would require all group members to click a "I have uploaded all of my expenses" button before the group allows members to send settle up payments (Venmo, etc). If a user tries to settle up before everyone has indicated they are done, then a simple message explaining it could be shown: "Bob, it is awesome that you want to pay everyone back so promptly! This group is configured to simplify debts and not all group members have finished entering their expenses yet. Let's wait until all expenses are entered before settling up so that all members of the group can make as few settle up payments as possible. The group is still waiting on Alice and George to enter their expenses"

Would be great if there were a tool to sign off that all expenses have been added by each member of a group, so members don't pay prematurely. I often have to message members telling them to wait until all expenses are added before paying, otherwise we have lots of small payments going back and forth when new expenses are added. Would be good to have each member sign off that he's finished adding so we can net once at the end.

When adding one time expenses for a group trip need a 'DONE' button so everyone knows that we are DONE adding expenses to the trip and everyone can settle up.

THIS SHOULD BE A TOP PRIORITY FEATURE. In theory I like the app and what it is trying to do, but lacking this feature is a serious flaw. People constantly get confused and settle up too soon, which creates chaos and makes the app more of a burden than a helpful tool. I would be even willing to pay a nominal fee to use the app if it had this feature. PLEASE DO IT.

A set of group trip expenses requires Q/A, often by multiple people. Any change offsets the balance.

I WILL NOT use Splitwise EVER again unless a feature is added that will pause any alerts/repayment until the group admin presses "Finished."

LOVE this idea. You are so smart

After a trip, we ask everyone to enter the expenditure. As a splitwise group creator/owner, I would like to lock the trip with password from further entries. otherwise people start settling and suddenly someone adds an expenditure confuses the entire group.

We typically make groups for a getaway weekend with lots of people contributing lots of items. We would like the ability to say after x days this group is locked and all bills should be submitted before this date. Ideally, it would send a warning one day before the group is locked and then only payments are allowed to be entered into the group after it is locked.

I think messaging in app would be helpful, but this specific indication (I.e., are we all ready to settle up) always seems to occur. I would rather indicate it on my own, proactively, instead of having to communicate about it.

When I set up a Splitwise with friends (usually for a trip), we all have to communicate outside of the app (usually through email) to confirm that all of our expenses have been submitted before we click "Settle up." I would love to be able to just mark that status in the app and once all members of the group have submitted all of their expenses, we can be notified to click settle up (or it'll happen on its own).
