Repair the problem with display of Indian Rupee symbol
Hi Splitwise Team,
On the webapp, when the settings are configured to use the Indian Rupee Symbol (INR Currency): Only a question mark is displayed instead of the actual INR symbol.
Suggesting to repair this.

Shubham3 votesFrom your account settings page, you can change your default currency to INR, and the app will update to display the rupee symbol. The reason why we don’t automatically display symbols for non-default currencies is because some currencies use the same symbol, and it can become ambiguous (for example, MXN and USD both use the $ sign). 3D Touch feature
The newly added 3D Touch feature doesn't work. It doesn't take to Add bill page. Also it will be great if you add frequently used group like say home rent share as a direct link in 3D Touch shortcuts.

option to delete settled bills permanently
I have some friends with whom I have settled up. Still they appear on my home tab with remark settled up. Either there should be an option to not to see settled up friends on home tab. or to delete settled bills parmanently.

On the website and iPhone app, we automatically hide friends/groups that you’ve been settled up with for more than 30 days. This feature is currently not supported on Android, but is planned in a future update.

Allow scanning of bills
When I ass expense please allow importing of scanned bill so that it can be better tracked
3 votesIf you’re using our mobile apps, you can add a picture of a bill/receipt by tapping on the camera icon while adding an expense.
If you’re using our website, choose the “Add image/notes” option while adding a bill. The website allows you to attach images as well as files such as PDF or documents.

Splitwise already supports this feature. In split options, choose to “split by shares”. Everyone else pays for 1 share. Your friend who is with his family pays for x shares, where x = total number of family members.

Want to create a group but don't want to invite anyone. Can we create groups just by names ?
My friends may or may not be interested in your app. So I don't want to invite them but wanted to create a group using their names for my calculation purpose. Do we have that option?

New method to pay rent
Say I have 5 people (A B C D E) in my room. The monthly rent is 1000 $. There would be no issues if they all stay for an entire month. But the real issue arise when people stay for a few days and then leave and then come back again.
Say (A-C) are staying all 30 days
D stayed for the first 15 days
E for the first 5 and then last 5 days.What I usually do in these cases are split the rent like this
Feb rent (first 5 days) = (1000/30)5 for A B…

Splitwise on ios 8
Hello team,
I would like you to know that there are a lot of people who have not updated their mobile phones to latest ios versions due to speed issues. I'm using an iphone 6 with ios 8 in it. Therefore, I'm not able to install splitwise on my mobile phone.
I suggest that for users like me, there should be an option to install a previous version of splitwise which is compatible with ios 8. I have seen this option for a lot of other applications where, if a user doesn't have latest ios, the last compatible version of…
3 votesI believe you should be able to install the last version of Splitwise that was supported iOS 8 by following the steps outlined in the below article:

Other users have reported that this article helped them, and that by using iTunes on a computer they were able to get the last compatible version.

Support Haiti's currency
I'm working with a mission in Haiti, and this app is very useful. But sometimes the bills come in HTG and we have to convert it manually. It would be supper nice to have this currency supported!!

3 Things
1) Add the ability to split bills by percentage. I hate doing math.
2) Require members to aprove expenses. My roommate adds groceries and splits it without permission. Screw that.
3) Add opt in expenses. Like if someone buys food and puts it out in the apartment. I should have the option to join into a split. Get it?

You can actually split by percentage already, though it’s not documented. In the “add expense” pop-up, just enter percentages instead of exact amounts for the total that each person owes. Splitwise will divvy up the cost accordingly. I really like the % interface on the web app but I cannot seem to get my iphone app to do it. Would be very helpful!

allow combing fb and email logsins
I first signed up with email, joined a group, used splitwise etc etc. Then on a new computer I signed in with fb (because I forgot which way I did it before). Now it's stuck on the "new user setup" stuff and I can't log out.
2 votesWe do allow users to use both, but combining can get a bit tricky if you didn’t set it up with your first login. Submit a ticket here or email support@splitwise.com directly and we will combine your accounts. (we’d rather not have you post your personal details up here in the public forum).

Refer to Billmonk.com once..
This seems useful. However billmonk.com has implemented loads of additional features that can be very helpful to this site. Like,
Adding bills between 3 or more friends without creating a group. etc...
Everyone I know (100s of people) uses billmonk. But cause of the site not properly maintained, I am looking for replacement. Try to provide more features and will definitely use this one. Thanks. Keep up.

Update the Android app
Kindly update the Android app, I would love to use Splitwise with some friends, but they all have Android phones. The current Android app really needs an update as it just doesn't work.
Mobile site and drop the support for iOS and Android app? Support of course offline storage with HTML5.

Edit a group members name
Hi, it would be nice to be able to edit the name of a person in your group. I entered first names only and several people start with the same letter, which gets confusing when dividing up unequal bills.
Nice website though.
2 votesUpdate: You can now edit friends names if they haven’t signed up yet. After they sign in, they’ll have control of the name that shows up.
I can see how this would get annoying quick if you’re sharing a group with multiple people with the same name. This is something we’ll have to talk about, but it should be something we add easily.
