add everyone functionality and expansion of that functionality
I went on a trip with 11 friends. They all joined splitwise and are in my event. When I add an expense I still have to manually add 11 people to each expense. it's ruining the user experience. add all function for people that are part of the event. in the future possibly create favorites list etc.
1 voteHey, thanks for your feedback! We do have that. When you go to add an expense, type the name of the group rather than any of the people in the “With you and” field.

Add Icon for cats
It would be awesome to have an icon for cat expenses (and maybe other pets aswell). As the song says: https://youtu.be/sP4NMoJcFd4
2 votesThanks for the suggestion! We actually do have an existing “Pets” category (under “Home”), but I know its icon looks more like a dog than a cat. We probably won’t add a separate category just for cats, but maybe the next time we update our icons, we’ll pick an icon that’s more feline-friendly :)

I need to pay my friend in INR. my friend need to pay me in USD but splitwise not work properly. it's simply do like this 47.68inr-1usd=46.6
make it separate if currency not matched
2 votesHmm…Splitwise already keeps track of currencies separately (e.g. “you owe $50 + you owe £20”), so I’m not sure what happened here. If you continue to have issues, please contact us at support@splitwise.com and include screenshots of the problem that you’re seeing – that should help us determine what’s going wrong and help us get it straightened out for you.

Would be great if there was a 'select all' button in travel. Bit frustrating having to select everyone manually.
(de)select all in the travel calculator section - frustrating having to manually select everyone, especially if you have to change numbers around.
1 voteThanks for he feedback! We do have checkboxes for each person that should select/deselect that person for each row. Is this not what you’re looking for?

This feature already exists on Splitwise! Tap on the “Send reminder” button to send a reminder email to your friends, reminding them to settle up.

it would be great if you could add my expenses column where i can select time period and see how much did I spent.
we often wanna know how much we spent monthly. splitwise can track our expenses and we can see how much I spent in total within a time period and monthly as well
2 votesGood news – we support this for groups! On Android, tap the menu icon in the group header to access. On iPhone tap the More button in the group header to access. Cheers!

Want to create a group but don't want to invite anyone. Can we create groups just by names ?
My friends may or may not be interested in your app. So I don't want to invite them but wanted to create a group using their names for my calculation purpose. Do we have that option?
3 votesYes. You can add group members by name only from our website (splitwise.com).

Only notes option
Please provide an option to add only notes- like if the newspaper did not come on 14th and 22nd of the month, or if the maid was on leave for a week- so that we know how much to pay at the end of the month to the maid or the newspaper guy.
2 votesHi there. You can add a note to any expense. On mobile: Tap the expense to open “expense details”. Then tap “add a comment”. Cheers!

Allow person to exchange the amount they owe and are owed to them e.g. I owe A 100, and B owes me 100, I should b able to say B will pay A
we should pay difference of what we owe and are owed in a group. if you can't settle from your side who will pay whom, allow user to shift the amount, so that I could make people who owe me pay the people whom I owe.
4 votesSounds like you’re looking for our “simplify debts” feature. This minimizes repayments between group members but doesn’t change anyone’s total balance. To enable this setting please visit “group settings”.

When I set a recurring bill for each month, it should get added on the same day of each month and not after 30days ...
Recurring Bill based on Month and not days
1 voteThe feature does work this way currently – if you add a bill on the 25th and set it to reoccur monthly, it will reoccur on the 25th of the following month. If you’re having a problem with reoccurring bills please write support@splitwise.com and specify the name of the bill. Thanks!

Update UI of iOS widget
Text color is not consistent with other apps' widget.
White over whitish is hard to read
2 votesWe should have a more readable color scheme for the widget at this point. Please send us screenshots if you’re still finding it hard to read.

Thanks for the suggestion! Right now, if you’re settled up with someone and have had no activity with that person for more than 40 days, we hide them in your balance lists.

If you’re adding an expense in a group or friendship, it should use the most recently used currency in the group or friendship when you add the expense. If you usually use one currency, you can set it in your account settings to use when there isn’t a recent expense in your group or friendship.

Log individual costs too
The ability to log individual costs for a holiday as well as group costs would be great to show how much an event such as a holiday has cost each person.
1 voteThanks for the suggestion! You should be able to see your share of expenses in the group totals under the more menu. It’s very basic, but should show you the individual cost in the group.

Integrate a bill splitting app
Whether Splitwise makes this or integrates with another app like Tab, I think it would be super helpful to be able to scan your receipt and split items between people and divide tax and tip accordingly. It's annoying to have to split the receipt (like a restaurant receipt) in Tab and then copy that over to Splitwise. Not enough to make me stop using the app because it's been great but it'd be nice.
4 votesSplitwise Pro includes the ability to scan and itemize receipts.

Hey there – if you’re using Splitwise on your mobile device, you should be able to do this already! If you’ve granted the Splitwise app access to your contacts, then we’ll automatically let you invite/add people who have a valid email address or US phone number. (Please note that we don’t import phone numbers for some non-US countries right now – that’s something we hope to improve in the future!)

Convite por SMS
O app é ótimo.
Falta a opção de convidar novos usuários por SMS.
A opção de ter que colocar o e-mail pode inviabilizar ou ser muito burocrática pra quem recebe.4 votes -
share rent with irregular stays
In this apartment, staffs of a company who are in a foreign mission come to stay for 3 months but they dont arrive at the same time. one will be sent earlier and the other for example 10 days later and so on, making an irregular rent sharing system. With 800$ a month, the rule is to share equally and per day of stay in a month. Suppose that there are 3 of us and and one of us comes to stay from the 15th, then: 800÷30÷3×15
800 (rent)÷ 30 (days)÷ 3 (number of people)× 15 (number of days stayed).…2 votesHey there! There are multiple possible ways to handle a situation like this (see our old travel calculator for examples: https://www.splitwise.com/calculators/travel), but it sounds like you probably want the “split by shares” feature. When adding a new expense, just tap on the “split equally” button to change the split, and then choose “split by shares”. You can then give each person shares as follows:
Person 1: 30 shares
Person 2: 30 shares
Person 3: 15 sharesSplitwise will calculate each person’s share so that Person 3 ends up paying half as much as Person 1 and Person 2.
