I much prefer Facebook over Venmo. Venmo scares me. There are tons of stories online about payment reversal scams - basically the borrower claims their friend is a merchant and venmo reverses the transaction because merchant transactions aren't allowed on personal accounts. Facebook doesn't have that, and money is transferred faster and transactions are more irreversible because they only allow debit cards.

Facebook Messenger now has payments inside conversations that allow you to request money from your friends. Since we can already link our Facebook account to Splitwise, it would be awesome for the settle up button to include a link to request a payment via Messenger.
