Idea is good to create new group, but our personal expenses would be added in final calculations.
So that I need separate from current spits.

I have another app where I added multipolar money account. It would be great if I could just stay in one app and migrate to here.

Thanks for this amazing app.I found this app when I was told to record the shares of room mates.I'm sure that splitwise, at that time, was still a new app not known to many.It is a great app that saved me of the burden to recording fairly everbody's share.After finding this app, now all are responsible to add their own shares.

But I have another request.I would like to request you to create a personal finance and budgeting app linked to splitwise too.Although there are many apps belonging to this category none is satisfactory.
Your web interface makes this app awesome.I'sure you guys can develop an app on the same lines as splitwise and will be a big success.

Should think of integration app like wallet and money view features.

I'm intresting in tracking my own expensives, not only shared one here. To do that I need to have excel. Why there is no excel option in all expensives? That might be helpful.
Or maybe you have other idea how to track not shared expensives too.

As a splitting app this is great. And the monthly trends give an idea of what our group epense has been. I would like to have a personal expense tracker, so that my monthly expenses could be tracked in one place. A dashboard to compare an expense (restaurants) over months would also be useful.
Overall great app to share group expenses!

It would be extremely useful to be able to track one's personal expense for a trip. That way I can can see the total amount spent during the trip including the ones that's owed by other people. I know cost split does this, however, I can't get a csv file from that app.. I guess nothign is perfect.

If the app has a provision to track personal expenses which donot involve anyone else, that would be a great help for people who wants to maintain an electronic journal of all their incomes and expenditures. As of now I can create a group with only me in it and maintain it as a journal. But that, i think that this could be included as a functionality in itself. I know there are other apps for this, but, having it on Splitwise is definitely a different thing.

Adding some non-users to the group would allow me to keep track on some expences without asking everybody to register to the splitwise. I would just tell them at the end of vacation how much money they owe me. People in the group would just be visible as a Name given them by me, which would not be interactive, but i could split my bill on them as well.

if additional feature allows a person to record his standalone expenses, and a report generation tool gives him all expenses(split n personal) in one view, it would be amazing and very very useful.

I want to track all my expenses at one place. Be it a common expense or a personal expense. It's very difficult to track personal finances on this app right now and it is even more inconvenient to use one app for common expenses and another app for personal finance. You should definitely look at expanding into a personal finance management field.

I agree with everyone here. We could just use another expense app but Splitwise is great UX wise, very convenient and non spammy.
I would love to see a feature which can let us manage our own expenses like credit card debts etc.

Please provide a money manger as such along witht the splitwise or please provide export option to export the money spent/ money.

I understand that at the beginning this is a splitting expenses application. However as a user this is really something that would be convenient, for example when we wanna track our expenses during a trip or in a shared apartment. Moreover this feature would be an advantage compared to your competitors. Instead of just being a splitting expenses application you could become the next personal and group expenses management. Initiate the next step instead of resting on your current advantage over them!

but the personal group displays "no balance" for all transactions :( and no way to tally total expenditure within that group.

Would love to have this feature. It would make splitwise complete.

already tried that way,, problem is it won't show total amount only.. Everything is settled up..

It will be helpful, even in shared expenses.. Even after settling bill, just show "total expenditure of the Group"
