delete all expenses with a person if the person is deleted from the contact list and it doesn't affect the group also where the amount is split into multiple people. the amount with the person being deleted should also be deleted

Sorry for the trouble! If you delete a friend on Splitwise right now, Splitwise will also try to remove any non-group expenses with that person, as long as doing so doesn’t affect anyone else’s balances. However, group expenses with that person will not be deleted (unless you also delete the whole group). I’ll pass on a note and see if there’s anything we can do to improve this!
