Allow partial settlement of bills
currently entire owed amount can be settled. allow partial settlement such as 200 settled out of 1000 that was owed

Hey there! Splitwise should already allow you to record partial settlements – after you hit “Settle up”, just delete the number from the amount field and enter any number that you’d like. Splitwise will add a record of your payment, and your total balance will update accordingly.

Can you settle up specific debts? For example, I would like to have the history record that 1 specific debt (rent) has been settled... and the other debts are unaffected
From what I can see, you can only contribute to the total debt.. and the previous entries are unaffected... thus I would not be sure which debt had been paid without deleting it.

Please allow this it gives an error when changing the amount.

It would be helpful to be able to settle individual debts rather than settle an entire debt.

Splitwise Admin, your suggestion doesn't actually work. An error pops up saying that the total is different from the sum of the payments.
