One small feature you may not be aware of: on our website, Splitwise does allow you to add group members without email addresses, which hopefully helps for the “large party” scenario. My apologies that the same feature isn’t available on our mobile apps!

We do allow you to send reminders via email in the app and on the website you can grab a printable group summary from the group expense list month headers. I’m not sure if we’ll ever support whatsapp directly, but we’ll consider it if this gets a lot of votes.

We currently send automatic monthly reminders, but we’d love to add an option for weekly reminders at some point, as well as potentially other options.

How can we add friends without an invitation on a website?
Just for a small trip with a friends, everyone has to install an app. Bad Deal ! You need to find other ways for marketing.You should make some other strategies for people to download an app rather than iniviting friends for spliting a payment.
