We just added a very basic calculator function to our web app, so you can now use basic mathematical operations when entering a cost (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). We hope to add similar features to our mobile apps at some point in the future!

I’ll pass on the suggestion! I’m not sure it’s applicable to a lot of Splitwise users – most people only use one group on Splitwise, or no groups at all – but it’s an interesting idea, and worth discussing.

So for example, I’m my apartment group, I might need to make another group for all the groceries we bought this week and next week for another purchase, I can make a new sub group saying “Walmart <Date>”. Please see if you can accommodate this. This will be really helpful.
Thanks

I suggest to have an inbuilt calculator function in the expense cost field. Like, if I have 4 milks in the bill, I can just go like
Item: Milk
Cost: 2.99*4
OR
Item: bananas
Cost: 2.89 + 5.20 + 2.39
This should end up having a total in the new third row.
Thanks.
