Thanks for the suggestion! We have a very basic version of this on our website – the “Simplify debts with this person” button, buried under friend settings – but it’s very hard to find, and it’s not very powerful (you can’t specify which group you want to move balances into). I’ll pass on a note about this and see if we can clean up that feature at some point soon :)

One small feature you may not be aware of: on our website, Splitwise does allow you to add group members without email addresses, which hopefully helps for the “large party” scenario. My apologies that the same feature isn’t available on our mobile apps!

io e la mia ragazza, utilizziamo questa ottima app per le spese di casa ed i viaggi. Per la casa, abbiamo un gruppo condiviso mentre per ogni vacanza, creiamo un gruppo a parte.
Quando la vacanza termina, creo un pareggio nel gruppo per chiuderlo e credo una nuova spesa nel gruppo di casa chiamato "Saldo vacanza XYZ 2019"
Avere una funzione automatica, mi aiuterebbe a velocizzare queste operazioni, che sono molto soggette ad errori.

Good morning,
My girlfriend and I use this awesome app to handle home and vacation expenses. For home, use have a "main" group while for each vacation we create a dedicated group.
When the vacation ends, I used to close it with a fake payment, then I make the same payment to the main group and I call it "Balance Vacation XYZ 2019".
All of this is manual and error-prone, having an automatic function will speed up everything and will make me feel safe
