   I can see how that might be a bit tricky to find – very sorry for the trouble! I’ll add this to our list of possible improvements for future updates.

   Currently the option to add an existing friend to a group is buried deep inside two layers of menus, first of all you have to find the gear icon on top right for group setting then you have to edit it.

   It's very hard to discover and considering how common the use case is, it should be made easier.
