Interesting suggestion :) The vast majority of expenses on Splitwise are paid by only one person, so this isn’t a high priority for us, but we’ll chat about this at our next team meeting. Thanks for the feedback!

We just added a very basic calculator function to our web app, so you can now use basic mathematical operations when entering a cost (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). We hope to add similar features to our mobile apps at some point in the future!

Please allow an option for the "paid by" to automatically split the cost down the middle between two people. My fiance and I share an account where we both put the same amount of money in each week for shared expenses. When we input an expense, we split the transaction in half and then to bridge the gap in our incomes, we then adjust the percentage owed to the percentage of income we bring in compared to our combined amount.
