Ability to use a calculator when entering bill
When entering a bill, it would be handy if there's a quick plus button there so that I can add multiple items fast and easy.
Currently there's an empty button on the number pad that shows up which I think could very well be used for simple plus/minus calculations.
We just added a very basic calculator function to our web app, so you can now use basic mathematical operations when entering a cost (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). We hope to add similar features to our mobile apps at some point in the future!

As an additional feature can you add evaluation of expressions as well while entering a amount for an individual, for example a bill contains multiple items purchased by a person and ability to add individuals expense in way like (45+65-8+98) which automatically evaluates to a number would be great feature.

See this link for a great example implementation in another app (WieBetaaltWat/WhoPaidWhat):

sometimes I want to combine few values together and create just one evtry. I want the amount field to support simple expressions like "20+4.34+56".
You should add this feature to any number field for example when splitting unequally.
Would be nice to have this in the splitwise mobile app as itemised bill is not implemented there.
I suggest it works like this: the feature resolves an expression i.e. 1.11+0.51+0.70/2 when leaving the field and it replaces the field with the resulting amount 1.97. There is no need to see the expression afterwards or how I got there as its purely a calculator.
add easy to access calculator within app. Take receipt from online Walmart herb amazon etc accounts

It would be better if amount added can support mathematical calculations
Please add in calculator to count in separate debt. Especially in those situation that two persons carry different amount to add up.
been days still waiting for the App side calculator.... everyone uses app now.. high time to be added by now
This is such a basic feature that it should have come up in the initial idea forming! And now that you are aware of its lack since so long, what's stopping you from implementing it? It's a must have feature.

You are awesome, just add a handy calculator utility while adding expenses.cheers
It would be great to be able to add several numbers while using an option "Split by adjustment". Right now it takes into account only the first one, e.g. when I type "20.2+45.7" the bill is adjusted only by 20.2
Could you add an Calculator when you add new Entry. So you could give an input like: 5,99+3,99 and it will show 9,98
Hi Splitwise team,
Thanks all of you a lot to create a very useful application. This application can solve almost case of shared house. I am sharing this app to my friends and they said "Such a great app!!".
But sometimes I need to use a fomular in side the input field or a caculator right inside the app.
I think many other users want to have this feature in Splitwise. Please plan to implement it.
